Causeway Capital Management

Rebound or Reinvention? The Two Faces of Value

Not all value stocks are created equal: some are simply out of favour, others are fixing what’s broken. Alessandro Valentini unpacks the two ‘buckets’ of value – cyclical and restructuring – through real-world examples where patience can mean powerful re-ratings.

Alessandro Valentini, CFA

Portfolio Manager

Alessandro Valentini is a director and fundamental portfolio manager at Causeway and is responsible for investment research in the global healthcare, financials, and real estate sectors. He joined the firm in July 2006 and has been a portfolio manager since April 2013. Alessandro earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, with honours, an MA in economics from Georgetown University and a BS, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University. Alessandro was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honours society, is a Phi Beta Kappa member, and is a CFA charterholder.

Lansdowne Partners

Time to get real? Adapting to a different era in global equity markets

Lansdowne Partners, founded in 1998, manages active long-only equity strategies. The firm established a striking heritage in managing equity long/short hedge funds; a period that has seen the Developed Markets team successfully navigating and posting positive returns in 2008, then subsequently identifying a generational opportunity set in specific US equities. The Lansdowne (Lux) Developed Markets Fund launched in late 2023, bringing their highly focused investment engine into the world of daily-dealing UCITS investors for the first time. Jonathon Regis and Nigel Hikmet will explain their deliberately flexible, differentiated process of seeking global equity opportunities; rooted in deep due diligence and fundamental analysis combined with an understanding of shifting capital cycles and structural change; an approach that is once again seeing distinct contrast from the crowd.

Jonathon Regis

Partner & Deputy Head of Developed Markets Strategy

Jonathon Regis joined Lansdowne Partners in 2003. Prior to joining Lansdowne, Jonathon was an Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), managing UK equity high-performance pension funds. He joined MLIM in 1999 and spent a year in private equity, specialising in leveraged buyout opportunities and expansion capital within technology companies before joining the UK Specialist Team in 2000. Jonathon has held sectoral research responsibilities for the banking, specialty finance, telecommunications, life assurance, and insurance sectors throughout his career. Jonathon holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Bath and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Nigel Hikmet

Partner & Co-Portfolio Manager Developed Markets UCITS

Nigel Hikmet joined Lansdowne Partners in 2012 and is a member of the Management Committee. Prior to joining Lansdowne, Nigel began his career as an Analyst and later as an Associate in the UK Mergers and Acquisitions team for Goldman Sachs in London, where he advised clients across a broad range of industries on various transactions and financings. Nigel holds BA (Hons) in Land Economy from Clare College, University of Cambridge.

Pacific Asset Management

The Beginning of Disruption in Quality - Why the direction of quality evolution matters much more than before

John Feeley joined Pacific Asset Management in January 2026, bringing a wealth of experience in US equities. John's philosophy is firmly centred on identifying businesses subject to under-appreciated, positive change. This approach unifies opportunities in growth, value and quality styles around a common destination of high and improving quality.

Traditional cap-weighted quality leadership has increased in risk. Today investors must search deeper than traditional market cap weighted quality to find companies that can consistently compound above their cost of capital. Despite all the headlines, John will demonstrate how the US remains one of the most attractive equity markets to find these opportunities.

John Feeley

Portfolio Manager

John Feeley joined Pacific Asset Management in January 2026 to lead the North American Strategies as Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Pacific, John spent over 13 years at Findlay Park, most recently as deputy CIO and PM, having started his 20+ year career in US Equities at Barings and F&C.

RAM Active Investments

Growth and Quality Opportunities in Emerging Markets

Emerging markets indices outperformed developed markets in 2025, with MSCI Emerging Markets TRN up 33.6% versus 21% for MSCI World TRN, prompting investors to reassess both allocation and implementation within the asset class. At the same time, heavy CAPEX cycles in developed markets, particularly in AI and energy, are weighing on free cash flows, while many EM companies offer stronger cash generation and more attractive valuations.

As concentration risks rise across global indices, selectivity is becoming as critical as allocation. This session explores how a systematic, diversified approach focused on quality can help manage risks while capturing growth opportunities in this evolving landscape.

Emmanuel Hauptmann

CIO & Head of Systematic

Emmanuel Hauptmann is CIO and Head of Systematic at RAM AI. He co-founded the company in 2007 and has since led the development of its systematic investment and AI platform. Emmanuel began his quant career in 2002 within Morgan Stanley’s London Institutional Equities Division before joining Citigroup in 2004 as a Director in the Quantitative Research department. He holds an MSc in Engineering from École Centrale Paris, an MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics, and a BSc in Economics from Sorbonne University.

Tikehau Capital

Unlocking the complexity premium: navigating European High Yield credit

Laurent Calvert will present Tikehau’s European High Yield strategy, a flagship fund of Tikehau Capital. He will share how a conviction-driven, non-benchmarked approach - supported by a dedicated team of 17 analysts - has created long-term value for investors. Laurent will highlight how the team captures the complexity premium in European High Yield markets by focusing on smaller, less-covered issuers that tend to offer structurally higher yields and lower durations than standard benchmarks.

Past performance and returns do not predict future performance and returns. For a full description of each fund's characteristics (including the investment strategy, all risks and fees), please refer to the legal documentation available on the management company's website.

Laurent Calvet

Head of Fixed Income Strategies and Credit Portfolio Manager

Laurent Calvet joined Tikehau Capital in 2013 and currently serves as Head of Fixed Income Strategies and credit portfolio manager. Laurent has a decade of prior experience as a Credit Portfolio Manager at Tikehau Capital. He started his career in 2008 at BNP Paribas in Paris as a structured products salesman. In 2011, he joined BNP Paribas’s New York office as a Delta One trader on the North American and Latin American equity markets. Laurent graduated from Paris Dauphine University, London School of Economics and Political Science.
